A Dream of Flight
I am alone on the cliff top. I can smell the salt spray of the sea below; hear the cry of the swooping gulls. I am alone and I am naked. The vast expanse of coast stretches from horizon to horizon. The sky is so blue and the sea so dark. I feel wet grass between my toes and look down from on high at the faraway beach. I am a woman. My body is lithe and beautiful. One wing juts from my right shoulder, its soft downy feathers caress my back. I flex my wing and long for the sky.

I am not alone. I do not know how I know this, but it comes to me like a wave breaking on the shore. I turn to my left and see him there watching me, eyes like the calm

Anubis is probably my second-favorite of the Egyptian gods, after Bast. You did great on this one!
